Carousel Day Nursery has been a family business since 1992, owned by two sisters Bev and Jacqui. It is managed by Katharine, Bev’s daughter, who is a mother of two young children and a qualified Early Years teacher. The management team therefore brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the job of running a children’s day nursery. We are very proud of the whole nursery team and the excellent standard of care and education they provide.

Carousel’s specially modified bungalow, situated in a quiet residential street in Billericay, has been designed to create a home-from-home feel at the nursery. We can accommodate 31 children each day aged from 3 months to 5 years. Organised over four areas, our Lower Nursery Ducklings & Hedgehogs Rooms care for infants and toddlers aged 3 months to 2yrs and our Upper Nursery Rabbits & Pre-School Squirrels Rooms provide care and education for children 2yrs+ to rising 5’s.

Carousel has ‘grown up’ over the 30+ years that we have been open, experiencing lots of changes both in the dynamics of our nursery and pre-school as well as in the legislation that governs our business. We are very experienced practitioners who are proud to have provided high quality childcare to some of the now young adults of Billericay. These ‘old boys and girls’ are now starting to return to us with their own children.
